Sharing a meal with one another is the perfect time to infuse life and love into your partner or family. The best meals are simple, with rustic food prepared with few ingredients to make a meal that is both savored and fulfills you. I personally like meals that are relatively fast and easy to prepare, so I don’t have to spend the whole time after dinner cleaning up my mess from preparing the meal.
This is one of the easiest, simplest, meals that I’ve found to prepare. It reminds me of a campfire meal at its best. This recipe is found on the LeCremedeLaCrumb website but I am writing it here for easy access.
Garlic Steak and Potato Foil Packs
2-2 1/2 pds sirloin steak, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces,1 onion – diced, 1 pound baby yellow potatoes, 3 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried parsley, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, fresh parsley for topping
Prep work – Boil the potatoes about halfway done and then add to mix in bowl, this will make sure the potatoes are done to perfection.
Instructions:
In a large bowl combine steak, potatoes, onion, olive oil, salt and pepper, garlic and seasonings and toss to combine.
Divide steak and potatoes between between four 12×12 inch sheets of foil, then wrap the foil tightly around the contents to form your foil packs. Grill over high heat for about 10 minutes on each side or until steak and potatoes are cooked through or bake at 425 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through to desired doneness.
Garnish fresh parsley and serve immediately
Enjoy this rustic meal and eat up the love!
